The New Year is upon us and after a very busy festive period, our next newsletter is ready for your enjoyment.

This year is our 20th anniversary, so we have lots of plans afoot. Please keep an eye on our Facebook page for our regular updates.

SJIB newsletter December 2022

Following our AGM last week, we are pleased to announce our new Committee Officers!

Firstly Holly Whitelaw, who has been our fantastic Chair for the last couple of years has sadly decided to step down from the role. She has been an inspiration and innovative force of the group; such as creating a more environmentally friendly Wreath for Remembrance Sunday! (See below)
We really do thank you and don’t worry she will still be managing her plots in and around the town.

Tamsyn Casley-Oliver will now be stepping up from her role as Vice and we wish her lots of luck.

Julie Towers and Maureen King have both kindly offered to continue their roles as Secretary and Treasurer and we are thrilled!

Finally as the group has become more involved in the community; we have decided to have two Vice Chairs and these two wonderful people are Hayley Stringer and Phillipa La Fontaine (our previous secretary). We felt following all their efforts with fundraising and helping with events that they should be rewarded with these roles in the group.

Here’s to bigger and even better things for St Just in Bloom!!

We will be hosting our annual AGM and general meeting tomorrow evening (Wednesday 9th November) from 7pm at the Commercial.

All are welcome to attend the AGM and explore all the fantastic work we have achieved in the last year.

Garden Competition Winners 2022

A group of our lovely volunteers will be back in the square offering plants and delicious cakes to raise funds for our work in the town.

If you happen to have any spare plants you’d like to donate to our efforts do pop and see us on the day.

Please come along and support us. We do really love to interact with the whole community of this fabulous town. 

On Monday 18th July we were joined by RHS judge Barbara.

Chair Holly and Vice Chair Tamsyn spent a hot but enjoyable day walking around the various sites.

We are so lucky to have such an array of green spaces for our community to enjoy!
